I have the following settings: - I have Win2K3 active directory domain "XYZ.com". * Parent Domain XYZ.com with domain controllers DC1, DC2. * Child domain DomainA.XYZ.com with domain controllers ADC1, ADC2 * Child domain DomainB.XYZ.com with domain controllers BDC1, BDC2 * Child domain DomainC.XYZ.com with domain controllers CDC1, CDC2 * Child domain DomainD.XYZ.com with domain controllers DDC1, DDC2 - I have one front end exchange 2K3 server and 4 backend exchange 2K3 servers on the same parent domain (XYZ.com). - I have 4 satellite offices that may be sold sooner to another company, and for that reason, I have moved users of each satellite site to their respective child domain. I moved mailboxes of each sites users to the exchange server (Information Store) corresponding to their child domain. - The settings of AD/Exchange domain is as follows: exchaneF.XYZ.com (Front End Exchange 2K3) exchangeA.XYZ.com (Contains mailboxes for users in child domain domainA.XYZ.com) exchangeB.XYZ.com (Contains mailboxes for users in child domain domainB.XYZ.com) exchangeC.XYZ.com (Contains mailboxes for users in child domain domainC.XYZ.com) exchangeD.XYZ.com (Contains mailboxes for users in child domain domainD.XYZ.com) BB.XYZ.com (Black Berry Server responsible for all users mail in parent domain) What I want to accomplish: - Move exchange servers to their respective domains to be as follows exchangeA.DomainA.XYZ.com (Solely responsible for users in child domain domainA.XYZ.com) exchangeB.DomainB.XYZ.com (Solely responsible for users in child domain domainB.XYZ.com) exchangeC.DomainC.XYZ.com (Solely responsible for users in child domain domainC.XYZ.com) exchangeD.DomainD.XYZ.com (Solely responsible for users in child domain domainD.XYZ.com) - Move the Black berry to DomainA and make it only responsible for users on DomainA .. DomainB/DomainC/DomainD dont need Blackberry service. - Once this step is done, I need to isolate child domains from parent domain.. This is step is done in preparation to selling these satellite offices.. We need the satellite office to stand on their own feet on the new company acquiring them. I need to 4 domains not to look for parent domain controllers for replication ANY IDEA HOW TO GO ABOUT THAT!!!

You cant move an Exchange server from one domain to another domain. What you can do is to install a new Exchange server in each subdomain and then move mailboxes and replicate PF to the new servers. When thats done you can unsintall the orginal Exchange servers that had mailboxes for accounts in the subdomains.
